It is super hot down here in Florida, which means we're staying inside where there is air conditioning as much as possible! Here are the results of all this time inside...
So, I was feeling all proud of Amyrillis' new mount when I get together with Pyr & Lill to work on some Moria quests...
Amylase was entertaining the dwarves around Anazarmekhem, when I noticed the fine workmanship of her harp. Lukewise did a lovely job (and so did the LOTRO devs).

Amylase feels so safe and sound with her strong, handsome Lukewise by her side. He isn't afraid of anything. His small hobbit size belies his fierce guardian spirit. There are times, however, when our little minstrel has to face the evil of Sauron on her own.
I hate solo!

In Hobbiton, it's time for LITHE FEST!!
The calendar used by the Hobbits of the Shire divides the year into twelve months which are of equal length: every month in the Hobbit year has exactly thirty days. This totals only 360 days, so the left-over five or six additional days in each year are invested in a pair of festivals, one at each solstice. Yesterday began this year's Lithe festivities at the Party Tree north of Hobbiton.
|
"Lukewise, I don't wanna kill anymore orcs. I just wanna go to the Lithe festival party. Pleeeeeeeeeese."

Who could say no to a face like this?! |

|
One of the summer festival games includes fishing in Thorin's Hall, Celondim, Bree-land, and Bywater. Well, that's right up Amyranth's alley!
With all the new crafting items and festival games, it's almost easy to forget that yesterday also marked the unveiling of Book 8 (and here I am with Amylase still stuck on Book 5)! I guess there will be plenty of time to get around to those quests after the Lithefest is over...

It's
The Great Tater
Charlie Brown |
I love when people put some serious thought into a humorous name. |
Until next time, I'll leave you with one of Amylase's attempts at photo manipulation...

A day in the life of a lady rogue scholar
Amyrillis watches from the ruins of Dol Nendir in the North Downs, as the moon fades before the glory of the rising sun.

The sun peeks through the clouds above the hilltop beacon in western Nan Amlug.

Storm clouds roll in over Othrikar as we run to turn in another round of quests.

Dusk falls in the Kingsfell

|
Amyrillis doing a bit of heavy lifting while Lukerandir keeps the beasts at bay.

|

It was a great day to play! When I logged in I saw these buffs on my burglar. I recognized the "blue map" above, but this other one was a very pleasant surprise!

I've never played in the Ettenmoors, but I am so grateful to those who keep the minions of Sauron at bay and make my PvE experience even more enjoyable! |
So ends another day levelling my little burglar (now if I could just log onto the game and work on her some more before Luke gets home from work.)

(another can't-play-so-time-to-clean-out-my-screenshots update brought to y'all, compliments to Turbine's frequently extended downtimes)

Spring is in the air and we've been having a blast dancing while questing in the Trollshaws (Beles has some special hovering skill we've yet to learn), getting lost in the hedge maze north of Bree, riding by the light of the full moon, drinking various brews from the Shire to the Lone Lands, and getting so drunk from the sinister keg that we lose our pants. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here are a few to illustrate the fun stuff we've been up to...
 |
 |
| Good thing the bounders didn't pull 'Lase over for riding under the influence! Check out the creepy skull on my new keg. You'd think I'd take that as a warning, but no my poor little level 10 warden wakes up from her drinking binge to find herself half naked in Forochel! Poor girl. |

Never trespass in your neighbor's hot tub! You never know what might be lurking beneath the surface.
*giggles*
Yes, Scyler, I was playing with the toys in your yard when I went to put a garden-dwarf in Luke's yard for April fools. |

Some LoL moments...

Finally, I leave you all with this poem I received from my "Secret Admirer"

Just a quick update, mostly pictures I've taken the last week or so.
|
Amylase takes in the view of a waterfall in outside Lothlorien.
Lukewise and Amylase take on one of the Alien-like nameless down in the "purple hall of nastiness" (aka Foundations of Stone).
My new house in the Shire. I just feel good everytime I walk up to my little yard and see "home of Amylase". |

I know some people thought it was impossible (some might even have thought we dropped off the face of the planet), but yes, somehow in the midst of all the hustle and bustle of daily life my little minstrel has finally reached the level cap. Amylase is 60. Some of her traits still need work and I need to send her into some instances to get her radiant armor, but the li'l hobbit has finally arrived in spite of it all.
We are both loving the Mines of Moria expansion. Of course, Luke has had his hunter to 60 for a while. His champion and guardian are 59 and 58.
Here are some pics I've had sitting in my computer for the last couple months. I hope to have more screenies of my minstrel next time. She makes sixty and the only pic I have of her is on the back of a goat! I ought to be ashamed. *hangs head*
Enjoy!

|
Yes, Amyranth does all the fishing, farming, and cooking so the rest of my characters can traipse all over Arda saving the world. She is the proverbial little red hen.

|
All travel (other than foot traffic) inside the mines of Moria is by goat. Though, I have to say it looks like a strange hybrid llama-yak-goat! I love the little lantern it has hanging in the back. hehehe!

|
 |
 |
Above are Luke's ranger, Lukerandir, and his champion, Lukeosi. Check out that battle mask on his dwarf. That should strike fear in the hearts of the goblins and orcs of Moria!
And last but not least is a beautiful scene from outside my new house in the Shire. I moved to a deluxe house at 4 Wending Way in the Shire homesteads. I always wanted a little hobbit hole, and this one has a dock right outside the door for Amyranth to do all her fishing! YAY!!

I've been so involved with all my other hobbies that gaming has been almost non-existant lately. I found this li'l site tonight while working on our band's MySpace page and had so much fun trying to make an image of me playing my Kay.

Hope y'all're having fun out there. Drop me a line from time to time if you get a chance.

Yay! So I finally saved up enough gold, fur, and tanned hide squares to buy a brand new set of armor for my monk. My furry Norn armor is so soft and warm when your trying to keep folks alive down in a cold, dark dungeon. I dyed it my favorite combo of green and blue (just like my Luxon set) and runed it out with radiant insignias. Mmmm warm and manaful.
 |
 |
|
You can't have a new armor set without a shiny new set of matching weapons! Here is Maatkare with her legendary sword and Fenrir's Bastion (I love the equine aegis skin!).
One of my favorite new features in GW:EN are the books! Each time you complete a dungeon or primary quest they are updated in your journal. It's so fun to read the story of my adventures after a long day of saving the world.
(Yeah, I know I'm a nerd. LOL! ) |
 |
 |
 |
|
And now. . .
Just a few fun things I've seen wandering about in Guild Wars lately, including this . . . yep, apparently they named a whole guild after me!

|
This has to be the absolute best ritualist name ever.

|
|
It's another waterfall. Just because I <3 waterfalls!!

|
And finally, check out Gwen's beautiful new look. This is the Deldrimor Armor that you get from Gunnar Poundfist in Gunnar's Hold in exchange for one Deldrimor Armor Remnant. I love the daisies!

I 'adopted' an abandoned dragon egg recently. (okay, yes, it is willing suspension of disbelief time - shouldn't be too hard for us rpgers) Please help it grow up strong & healthy by clicking to see it's progress. I hope to be a good dragon-mommy!

Thank you!

I'm not sure if anyone else ever comes to visit, but I've started gaming a bit again lately. Luke and I are pushing our characters through GW:EN. His LOTRO account has lapsed, so he's been playing GW for a while now. His warrior and necro have both finished the game, while I was busy with my music.
Check out his Asuran shades. Makes his warrior look like the hitman. hehe!
I monked for Luke and Bunter as they took their assassins through the story line. They are so cute! Check them out; they look like sisters (of course all you can see is their hair and eyes).

They kept me on my toes, especially when they had their Ursan blessing running. It's worse than a warrior trying to keep from losing his adrenaline! Check out how far away I was from those two killing Char. LOL! Yep, they are somewhere in all that glowing fire and lights. :)

I had forgotten how beautiful Guild Wars is. Going from LOTRO to GW is like looking at a comic book and then picking up a book of paintings. Both are good in their own way, but everything in GW is so detailed. I wish my hobbit's world was as well drawn as my monk's home. Ah well, as long as we're all having fun, it doesn't really matter in the end.
Happy gaming!
